Is Gas Storage Right for You?

A gas storage system heats water with a gas burner and keeps it hot in an insulated tank. Because gas reheats water quickly, a gas storage unit can recover faster than an electric tank of the same size, which suits busy households with back to back showers.

Best for

• Homes connected to natural gas
• Families who want hot water on demand without upgrading gas supply for an instant unit
• Like for like replacement of an existing gas storage system

Things to know

• Larger households may need a bigger tank or faster recovery model.
• Energy star ratings vary between models, and higher rated units cost less to run.
• Outdoor models are the simplest to install; indoor models need a flue.
